Staples, Barbara Osborn (nee Burnett) of Warson Woods, MO was taken home to be with her Lord, March 12, 2015. She was born In Batesville, AR in 1935 but grew up in St. Louis. She was the daughter of Earl and Clara (Huddleston) Burnett.

Barbara's career was in art. While living in Washington DC she was an artist for The Navy Department and also for the Joint Chief of Staff. Returning to St.Louis she applied her skills at Scott Air Force base. Some of her paintings are in the Air Force War Museum, other bases, as well as various private collections. Although Barbara loved painting, her love for Jesus caused her to love people more. She had a heart and home for many in need over the years.

She was predeceased by her husband Harry Osborn, the father of her children, and her parents. Barbara is survived by her husband of nineteen years, Dr. John (Jack) E. Staples, she is also survived by her children; daughter Cindy and husband Bill Lynch and their three children; son Roy and wife Christine Osborn and three children of Palatine, IL; son Larry and wife Cindy Osborn of Kent, WA; daughter Lois Osborn of Mt. Olive, NC; twin sister Betty Bickford of Hendersonville, NC; brother Earl Burnett, Jr. of Tecate, Mexico; as well as two beloved cousins and several nieces and nephews.
